Los Telares Ethnographic Park

Learn about the history of mankind on La Gomera. A corner between palm groves and in the shadow of the Roques de Pedro y Petra, at the base of the Garajonay National Park. The water descends to our farm from the heart of the National Park after its fall by the Chorro del Cedro, the largest waterfall in the Canary Islands. The PEG Los Telares, the Ethnographic Park of La Gomera, with its “gofio” mill, exhibition rooms, botanical garden and ecological farm, is essential in your visit to La Gomera. Discover the only active mill of the 14 that once inhabited the Hermigua ravine. The antiques collection inside is the most important on the island, a selection of more than 500 pieces dating from the aborigines to the early 20th Century.

The 5.000 meters of ecological farm with traditional banana plantations, vines, mangoes, papayas, avocado trees, aloe vera surround our water mill and museum … A beautiful botanical route, where you can identify all the crops present on the island. Taped palm trees, from which ”guarapo” or sap is obtained for the elaboration of palm syrup. A farm where you can see how we collect fruit or vegetables for the dishes and juices for our gastronomic corner.

Discover the unique flavors of La Gomera. A gourmet experience on our terrace: snacks with local ingredients, fresh salads from the garden, traditional sweets, wines and craft beers …

Find the ideal gift for your family. In our stores you can discover and take home a careful selection of handicraft products from the islands: embroidery, baskets, fabrics, accessories, ceramics, natural cosmetics, gastronomy…

Get to know the essence of the island and look closely at the landscapes carved by mankind.
